Asking the same question

When Rabbi Grossbaum (head Shliach in Ontario) was a bochur, he went in and gave his tzetel to the Rebbe as was customary. Generally, the Rebbe would peruse the note given him, while commenting/responding to the questions it contained. In this instance, the Rebbe remarked (with regards to one of the points in the note): “Es dacht zich mir az mir hoben shoin geshmuzt vegen dem letzte mol” [I believe we already discussed this on an earlier occasion].
Rabbi Grossbaum related how he took this as a severe rebuke. He felt that the Rebbe was saying to him” “What kind of a chutzpa is this? You didn’t take action regarding what you were told last time, and you’re coming back again with the same question?!
